7-Minute Workout (Wahoo Fitness)
REVIEW:
The 7-Minute Daily Workout Challenge app has many positives and a few negatives:
POSITIVES:
1) #1 best thing about this app is that, unlike other apps, there are no ads to interrupt or annoy.
2) They have a Bluetooth device to link to the app to help you track your heart rate and more.
3) It gives a variety of exercises depending on which style of exercises you want to use. So a new workout regime each day, each week, or based on mood.
4) It gives you calculators and helps you schedule an actual diet but you have to pay the $1.99 fee to access the rest of the app.
5) The app will allow you to play music in the background so you don't only have to listen to the annoying computerized voice.
NEGATIVES:
1) The computerized voice is very annoying. I wanted to turn it off after the second exercise. Invest in a better-computerized voice or a simple voice-over.
2) There are no images of what exercises you are doing. You must tap on the screen to bring up a second screen to find out if you're doing them right.
3) There are no audible markers to make you aware of the halfway mark and a countdown at the end of each exercise.
4) The app did not seem to work properly at all, maybe because it doesn't work properly on this new phone IOS, and if so, it should be removed.
5) The graphics on the app were very poor and the only true graphics were the YouTube video images and one image of a trainer.
6) There is a workout that promotes an actual "celebrity trainer" who will conduct the exercise, yet you don't see or hear from him, just receive a picture on the app's front page and that is all that comes from that "special edition training". This started as a positive and then became negative.
TAKE AWAY:
The app gives you a variety of exercises as long as you know what they are while running the routine. But without audible markers and a better-computerized voice instructing you, this will only receive a 4 Star review. Plus, please don't promise something you don't fulfill, like a "celebrity trainer" who isn't part of the exercise. I would like to try their heart monitor but I could see it getting in the way since its strapped to your chest. I won't know unless I try it first.
